Resolved Question

vaginal itching

I\'m fairly new to the essential oil scene, and a co-worker has asked for relief and I don\'t know how to help her. She was on antibiotics for 3 months last year for back-acne. She got a yeast infection, took care of it with more meds. She says she still has \"MAJOR ITCHING\" but her ob-gyn says there is no sign of a lingering infection. She says the itching is so bad at time she has scratched herself till she is bleeding. What can she use on her vaginal area to give her relief and heal the skin, infection or whatever she has going on

  • Hi friend,

Ouch - and more uncomfortable ouch noises...

Vaginal Itching is not too challenging to resolve.  The quickest solution can also be one of the messiest - a yogurt douche 2 to 4 times daily until the problem is resolved.  & internal supplementation with a high quality pro-biotic.

For essential oils consider douching with water &/or applying these oils to a tampon with a carrier oil (1 tsp olive or coconut oil) of:

Myrrh, Tea Tree, Oregano, and/or Mountain Savory

I favor the Rocky Mountain (RMO) Essential oils for the high quality and therapeutic grade.  But all of these oils can be purchased from several different essential oil companies.

Now she doesn\'t have to pick up every single bottle of essential oil just have her start with one and see how it feels and then combine with others if she feels so inclined as well.

Next once the fire is out - let her know that these types of infections are just one symptom of a systemic fungal infestation (aka Candidiasis).  While this infection can be treated locally, the underlying problem of systemic candidiasis may still remain unless specific dietary and health practices are used.

I\'d also recommend your friend to seek the help of a qualified aromatherapist and/or Holistic Health Professional. I favor Professional Energy Kinesiologists, Acupuncturists, Naturopaths, Herbologists & Classically trained Homeopaths.  Not to say that she\'ll need to make a visit to all of the professions listed above - just have her find one in your area who you resonate with and go from there.

    Cheers,
